One More Time

One More TimeAmber Heard plays an aspiring rock star who, evicted from her Brooklyn apartment, is forced to move into the Hamptons home of her father (Christopher Walken) – an over-the-hill, Sinatra-esque crooner angling for a musical comeback. As the two butt heads, they unexpectedly find themselves on a journey that may redefine their lives. (NR – 98 minutes)

“One More Time” has a few pleasant songs – some that will appeal to those on the younger end of the age spectrum and some that will appeal to those on the older end of it. Unfortunately, said songs are the only moments in the movie that the word “pleasant” could be accurately used. That is because its characters – especially the ones portrayed by stars Amber Heard and Christopher Walken – are not the least be fun to be around. It is not that they are particularly unlikable but rather that they come with an awful lot of emotional baggage and seem to be more interested in talking about it than doing anything about it making for one tedious tale.
